Oran announces upcoming kids CD, Wake Up, Clarinet!, one track of which will be featured on Putumayo Kids' Jazz Playground in March.:
Oran's next CD is a jazz project for Kids that grew out of his unique educational approach that is taught in music classes throughout New York. The CD will be released this spring, and one track, Little Lamb Jam, will be available in March on Putumayo Kids' new compilation! Oran performs for Putumayo's release parties on Feb 28 in Philly and March 13 at the Scholastic Store Theater in Soho.

JazzWeek World Music Charts, which tracks nation-wide radio play found Kelenia is the
10th most played album in its genre, even before it is officially released!


CD Release Tour:

Oran kicked off his CD release tour this summer with a show at Manhattan's Knitting Factory on June 3.
His regular working band was joined by guests including Bobby Sanabria, Abdoulaye Diabate and Lionel Loueke. Oran then left for California to do a West Coast tour highlighted by an appearance in an all-star band including Mike Stern, Airto, Eddy Henderson and others in a tribute to Miles Davis. Returning to cities on the East Coast, Oran finished his tour with an outdoor concert in front of the Brooklyn Public Library in Grand Army Plaza.
